For the Moms, Who Don’t Want to Just Survive — But to Feel Like Themselves Again.
Helping moms heal, process, and move forward through pregnancy, postpartum, loss, and trauma — telehealth across North Carolina.
Life can feel heavy, and sometimes it feels like no one really understands what you’re carrying. At Daylight Counseling, we walk alongside women through those moments—when motherhood is harder than expected, when pregnancy or postpartum brings grief or overwhelm, when old trauma resurfaces, or when life just feels out of balance.
This is a place where your story matters. You are seen, heard, and supported—without judgment—as you process, heal, and take the next steps toward feeling like yourself again.
WHAT WE FOCUS ON
Supporting Women Through Every Season of Life
Why Moms and Women Choose Me?
Moms and women choose to work with me because I create a safe, judgment-free space where you can be yourself, even when you’re carrying guilt, shame, or the feeling that you’re not enough. I take a direct but compassionate approach and use EMDR and other supportive tools to help clients process difficult experiences, work through trauma, and recognize the strength they already carry.
Many moms appreciate having space to be honest about what’s hard, to feel understood, and to gain practical tools for coping with the challenges of motherhood, life transitions, or past trauma. Here, you will never be judged—only supported—as you take the next steps toward feeling capable, resilient, and more like yourself again.
Supporting Moms Through Motherhood, Loss, and Life’s Tough Seasons Is My Passion
I’M SO GLAD YOU ARE HERE.
Hi, I’m Gayle, a therapist.
I specialize in supporting women through the many seasons of motherhood & life.
Maybe you’re navigating pregnancy or postpartum changes, carrying grief after a loss, healing from trauma, facing stress or anxiety, or working to overcome challenges with substance use. You’re not alone.
Many moms carry guilt, shame, or the feeling that they’re not enough, but here, you are never judged. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and capable as you reconnect with your own strength and resilience.
Our Services
We Provide Services for Clinicians and Professionals
Clinical Supervision
Supportive, ethical supervision for LCMHCAs, LCASAs, CSIs, CDACs, and emerging professionals across North Carolina, helping them grow as clinicians while staying grounded and effective.
Consultation
Some questions come from the cases professionals carry, and some come from their own career path. I provide consultation for clinicians in both areas.
OUR APPROACH
A Therapeutic Experience Rooted in Safety & Connection: Holistic, Collaborative, Transformative
Healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and free from judgment. My approach is gentle, relational, and grounded in practices that help women move from overwhelm and self-doubt toward clarity, connection, and confidence.
I draw from a trauma-informed practice, incorporating EMDR, ego states therapy, polyvagal-informed methods, and an attachment-focused approach. This combination helps us understand your patterns, soothe your nervous system, and develop practical tools you can easily integrate into daily life.
Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, loss, or other major life changes, I meet you exactly where you are. Therapy is a collaborative journey: we move forward at your pace, honoring your story and celebrating your strengths. My role is to guide, inspire hope, and reflect what’s possible—especially on days when holding on to hope feels difficult.
Most importantly, I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you can breathe deeply, reconnect with your true self, and start moving toward the life you envision with greater lightness and ease.
Client Reviews
“
I've known Gayle since 2018. We were colleagues working on the same hall in a local community mental health agency. Throughout the years, Gayle has demonstrated thoughtful, intelligent, and efficient client care to a range of clients working to improve their mental health and substance use recovery. Gayle's wit and fun loving nature are reflected in her counseling practice. Gayle is energetic, will keep you on your toes, and call you out on the things you need to work on, and she does this in the most compassionate way.

When I talk to Gayle, I feel seen, heard, and understood to my soul. Even when the world seems to spin out of control, Gayle is grounded, steady, and bright. We can have challenging intellectual conversations and quickly shift to cackling about the ridiculous. I’m also a therapist and I would trust Gayle with my friends and family.
